SPINACH POWER (スピニッヂ・パワー) becomes a major act and sign to SEVEN SEAS, a sublabel of King Records.
SPINACH POWER (スピニッヂ・パワー) release their first single “POPEYE THE SAILORMAN”, which is a disco cover of the cartoon’s theme song. It becomes a slight hit across Europe, and reaches number 21 on the Oricon charts, becoming their best-selling release.
